AT&T has flip-flopped yet again on the issue of iPhone customers getting free access to AT&T hotspots. Hey, AT&T: why don't you make up your minds and be clear about this? This is ridiculous

Isn't this ironic: Microsoft is kowtowing to NBC and is working to install a filter that would block "illegal" copies of TV shows, while Apple of all companies is actually willing (so far) to forego NBC content to avoid being forced into an even more restrictive DRM scheme. I know which player I'm buying (and which one I'm not) next time around.

Expect the phone later this year -- that's all we know for no
I was using the iUI toolkit, which contains a number of CSS styles and JavaScript event handlers to make iPhone Web apps look and feel somewhat like native iPhone applications. As I was working with iUI, I realized I was building up a library, so I converted everything to a Rails plugin: rails_iui.

Don't get fooled by the alleged 3G iPhone photos. They are not real, just a pasted photo over another cellphone, probably a BlackBerry. "These photos have been up since 12:04AM central european time and it's now 7:04PM (10AM). That's 17 hours up with no Cease and Desist order from Apple Europe or Apple USA." Fake and UGLY.
If you say that the iPhone is the greatest invention of your lifetime, few would bat an eye. But dare to claim that the iPhone is killing the Internet as we know it, you'd be laughed out of town. But that is the central argument of a new book "The Future of the Internet - and How to Stop It." Read this interview with the author & hear his argument.
